Well I feel sheepish.

So I remember a national holiday from the nation where I want to live. I bust out the sparkly text. I added a line of "*celebrates*" to bring the sparkly text below the icon on both my DW and LJ layouts.

And then I'm going through LJ, DW, and Tumblr, and everyone I know who's commenting on Australia day is staying home like it's New Year's Morning and calling it Invasion Day and all. So I read the entries, and discovered that Beer's Birthday is really just Be A White Male Conservative Nationalist Wanker Day with a side of cricket.

Now, I'm sure there's much more to it (cookouts and such), but that's what I saw yesterday/today.
