In which my husband is made of WIN and AWESOME.
I was replying to a comment about DADT from a cousin of mine (Mommy, if you're reading, it's the cousin you share a birthday with) saying that DADT should be kept in place because some soldiers would worry that their co-workers had a crush on them. O NOES THEY CAN'T HANDLE TEH GHEY.
I told Chris about this and he said, "Then they're not soldiers." That they should be professional enough to be able to handle difference. Chris used the phrase that was thrown at him and others by macho assholes all through his deployment: "MAN UP."
