2009 Alaska Governor's Picnic at Pioneer Park, 4 of 4
And this is where the picspam wraps up. More ZOMG JASON JONES, Palin's speech, and Campbell's and Parnell's, though I doubt those were shown on the news.
More Jason Jones...

...

...

He facepalmed right before this, and I went to take a picture (I figured someone would want to macro it), but the button on my camera went around to video, so here's the short video. I've had it uploaded to YouTube for the past hour or so, but the formatting is taking forever.

Jason Jones spam continues. They're asking to do something--I know they get to film him going down the walkway. I'm looking forward to tonight's Daily Show!

...and there they go.

...going, going...

...gone. And that's the last I saw of him. Sorry, Pam--I wasn't able to speak to him!

From here I do screencaps of my zoom--I'm pretty far from the podium.

Master of Ceremonies, State Senator Gene Therriault.

Now-former Governor Sarah Palin, giving a rousing (and rather odd) farewell address.

The swearing-in.

Another shot of the swearing-in.

Now-Lt. Gov. Craig Campbell speechifying. Not bad.

Now-Gov. Sean Parnell speechifying. A calm speech, with complete sentences. I was impressed. He even addressed issues like domestic violence and social services.

"BONG HITS FOR SARAH." LOVE THIS SIGN.

The event wraps up with a benediction by Gov. Parnell's father, who's a hospital chaplain, and the singing of the Alaska Flag Song by the same guy who did the National Anthem earlier.

Well, I hope you've enjoyed. I had a great time at the event and the lady at the Souvlaki place might be hiring! She said to come back today so I shall.

Yeah, the crowd was mostly Palin supporters, but not all. :)
