Pics from Memorial Day.

Wow.

I'm late in posting these.

I'm sure you're all just SHOCKED. SHOCKED, I say.

Especially since I still haven't gotten around to posting the #teabagging pics, though they are also up on my Flickr stream.

The rest of the Memorial Day pictures can be found here.

Pioneer Park! Formerly known as Alaskaland.

The Arctic Wolves band from Fort Wainwright.

Native crafts in a gift shop. (why this was not a poor fashion choice.)

A whole village of gift shops made from old Alaska homes.

'Cause it's the Wild Wild West. :)

In the museum...

Om nom nom...

I love these signposts!

A veteran who let me take his picture. :)

Queen of the Yukon.

An old plane.

The gazebo where, back before the deployment, a few of us from the FRG made "We'll miss you, come back soon!" signs to put on the fences around the entrance to post during the deployment. Personally, I think they should have said "Come back safe." Coming back too soon would mean an injury.

A better view of the band. :)

Also, the Purposely Vague R&R Timeline continues: More or less 15 days! XDDD

Old Airplane = Lockheed Electra, L-10 if I'm correct. Pretty much a workhorse type craft. Is also the model Amelia Earhart was flying when she disappeared.
