Looking Back

1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?

Sought help for my mental health issues. Took psych meds. Sought medical care for my throat-sick.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I kept several, but not all, and yes, I've made more.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Cynthia, a roommate of Reid's. She gave birth to little Sophia:

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My Granny. :(

5. What countries did you visit?
None. Still too frakking poor to get out of the U. Ass.

*keeps pushingarock's answer*

6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
Contentment.

7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
August 30th, the day Chris came home from Iraq.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Um...getting help?

9. What was your biggest failure?
Despair over a desperate desire for things I can't have, and not always being able to count my numerous blessings.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Depression/anxiety, throat-sick, some colds.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
I'd say the DDR, but Chris is the one who went and got it. (Every time we were both at GameStop I'd insist that it was too expensive, that it could wait, you get your video game instead.)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Fizzy, for being a real true friend and keeping me company for hours on end, almost every day of 2009.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Also Fizzy, though more depressed and less appalled.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Bills. :P

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
R&R in June/July!

16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
"No Rest for the Wicked." :P

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:

i. happier or sadder? Sadder. 2008 wasn't that bad for me.

ii. thinner or fatter? Thinner, by about 25 lbs.

iii. richer or poorer? Poorer, 'cause we're no longer getting deployment pay.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Exercising, reading actual ink-on-paper books, being at all useful.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Crying, oversleeping, being lazy.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Chris and I spent the day at the Reids'.
